Include these details in your email
- Your full name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Preferred contact method
- Inbound or outbound transfer
- Seller or shipping FFL name
- Seller contact email or telephone
- Online seller or marketplace
- Order number and purchase date
- Item count and general category
- Expected ship date
- Tracking number, if available
- If you are new to WDF, a picture of your driver’s license and CPL, if you have one
- For a handgun transfer, your CPL or License to Purchase from your local police department or sheriff’s office
What happens after you email
WDF reviews the request
The purchase and seller information is checked so WDF can identify the transaction and contact the correct business.
Dealer information is coordinated
WDF and the seller exchange the license information required before shipment. Do not assume that information has been exchanged until the seller or WDF confirms it.
You wait for an arrival notice
After delivery, WDF checks the item in and contacts you to schedule the required in-person process. Carrier tracking alone is not a pickup notice.
